Since 1862, Ss Philip & James has existed as a centre for Christian prayer in the heart of the community it was built to serve. A century and a half later, prayer is very much the heartbeat and principal focus of our life - a heart beat that we invite you share with us. 



During the week, we can all maintain a constant discipline of prayer at home with Morning, Evening or Night Prayer. You can  follow the daily service by following the links to the left of this. 



We are a sacramental community, which means that Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper, Eucharist or Mass) forms a central expression of our spiritual journey with God. A copy of the current Service booklet is available here so that the beauty and meaning of its form and prayers can be contemplated at home or at work.

Night Prayer (or Compline) is the perfect 'last moment' of any day, asking God for his protection over us and our loved ones through the night.
